Meat Pies

  • 1/2 lb                Ground beef

  • 1/4 lb                Pork sausage

  • 1/4 C                Onion, finely diced

  • 2                      Cloves garlic, minced

  • 5                       Scallions, green tops, chopped

  •                          Salt

  •                          Black pepper

  •                          Cayenne

 

Preheat oven according to the dough directions.

 

Sauté onion and meat until brown.  Drain, add other ingredients and cook about 3 to 5 more minutes.  Use a slight dusting of flour to bind mixture.

 

Use canned biscuits (10) or make your own dough.  Roll into circles.  Place filling to one side, leaving room to seal.  Fold the other side over and seal along the edges.  Bake on a parchment lined baking sheet until golden brown (time/temp depends on what dough you use, generally 15 to 25 minutes at 350).

 

Yield:  10 servings
